Published on June 19, 2025 at 08:50 AM

Catholic faithful across Benue State on Thursday embarked on a solemn prayer walk, calling for divine intervention to restore lasting peace in the region.

They also offered prayers for the souls of those killed in the wave of violence plaguing the state, escpailly the recent attack on Yelwata in Guma LGA where many persons were killed.

The peaceful procession, which is ongoing, saw large turnouts from various parishes as clergy, religious groups, and lay members walked through streets, holding placards and chanting hymns.

Participants expressed deep concern over the growing insecurity and urged unity, healing, and a return to justice and peace in the state.
