BEN WHITE had a night to forget after scoring on his England return despite being booed – then giving away a penalty allow Uruguay to secure a 1-1 draw.
England looked destined to be heading to a dull 0-0 draw at Wembley as Thomas Tuchel’s second string failed to impress.
Then the game livened up after Ben White was brought on in the 69th minute, only to be jeered by the Wembley faithful.
He went from zero to hero after tapping in at the back post and he thought he might be the matchwinner.
But the Arsenal man suffered a nightmare by giving away a late penalty that Federico Valverde converted to sum up a bizarre and frustrating night.
