THE BBC has struck a major new deal to show live football free-to-air for the next three seasons.
Cymru Wales has agreed a three-year broadcasting partnership with the Football Association of Wales to screen matches from the Novira Cymru Premier.

The agreement will see a minimum of 20 games per season broadcast live on , with the deal running until 2029.
Fans will also be able to follow extensive coverage and updates from Wales’ top flight through BBC Sport Online.
The first game shown under the agreement will be Barry Town United against Cardiff Met on Saturday, August 15, with kick-off at 12.30pm.
Both sides have won their opening two matches of the campaign, while Ammanford versus Connah’s Quay Nomads will then be shown on August 22.
BBC Wales head of sport Carolyn Hitt said: “This deal strengthens our commitment to provide live coverage of Welsh football, and follows our recent announcement to show all of the Wales men’s international games up until Euro 2028.”
She added: “We hope this will be welcome news to Welsh football fans as we continue to bring sport to free-to-air television.”
The deal comes amid a major revamp of the Cymru Premier, which has expanded from 12 to 16 clubs for its 35th edition, with matches predominantly switching to Friday evenings.
Llandudno, Airbus UK, Holywell Town, Trefelin BGC, Cambrian United and Ammanford have all been promoted into the expanded division.

FAW head of domestic leagues Jack Sharp said: “This agreement represents another significant step in growing the profile of the Novira Cymru Premier, enabling us to reach more supporters across Wales and the wider UK through increased free-to-air coverage.”
He added: “The BBC’s commitment to Welsh domestic football will play an important role in increasing awareness of the league, attracting new audiences, and supporting our wider ambition to continue growing the game.”
