ACTOR Dan Stevens has shown off a brand new look after landing a major new role in a hit US TV show.

The star, who has appeared in a slew of popular shows, will be appearing in a reboot of popular show, RoboCop.

Sharing a new snap to celebrate the news, he showed off his blonde buzz cut.

It left him looking worlds away from some of his most popular and acclaimed programmes.

Teasing his new part in the show, Dan added the caption: “Buzz buzz…

“Dead or alive, you’re coming with me…”

Gone are his thick brunette locks as he gets ready to play the famed character.

The news was first revealed by Deadline yesterday when it was revealed that he had signed up to the Prime Video reboot.

He will play Alex Murphy and his cyborg alter ego RoboCop.

There have been plans to reboot the series for years with having officially greenlit the project for an eight- episode series last month.

RoboCop was first launched with its original movie in 1987 and was followed by two sequels – one in 1990 and another in 1993.

A film remake was also created in 2014.

Actor Dan is best known for playing Matthew Crawley for Downton Abbey between 2010 and 2012.
