BBC presenter Tina Daheley has told fans she’s “bouncing back” after quitting BBC Radio 2 following Scott Mills’ axe.

In June, we reported how Tina – but that she would remain in the fold and on Jeremy Vine’s show over summer.

Her departure came shortly after it from his hit programme over allegations surrounding his “personal conduct”.

A , 47, often known as Scott’s “work wife”, then came to light but she has now teased her comeback.

Tina posted a stylish snap to her grid, showing her flashing a smile to the camera as she posed for her selfie.

Her bouncy blow dry was on point with her hair falling over her shoulders, and she chose a summery pink blouse paired with a gold necklace.

In her cryptic caption, she put: “Bouncing back…”

One follower was quick to write: “You look beautiful Tina. I miss you on Radio Two”.

A second posted: “Good cause we love ya” as a third put: “Miss hearing you on the radio”.

In a lengthy text statement uploaded to her grid this summer, Tina was emotional as she wrote: “After more than seven years of early alarm calls on Radio 2, I’m stepping away from Radio 2 breakfast.

“It’s been one of the greatest privileges of my life to wake up with you every morning, and humbling to have been trusted to deliver the news on the biggest breakfast show in Europe.”

Tina then went on to reminisce about her time with the BBC and said: “My breakfast run ends on Radio 2 but it all started on 1Xtra where I landed my dream job reading the news on Trevor Nelson’s Breakfast Show.

“From there, I spent a decade broadcasting to one in four young people in the UK on Radio 1.

“After 18 years and six back to back breakfast shows (probably a record) in there somewhere, I am looking forward to a lie in”.

She added of new BBC Radio 2 Breakfast show host : “Wishing Sara and her team the very best of luck.

“I’ll be tuning in while doing the school run.

“I’m not leaving Radio 2, you’ll hear me between 12 and 2pm when Jeremy’s away and you’ll see me on BBC One after the summer.

“Beyond that, watch this space”.

Earlier this year, Tina amid an “awful week” after being struck down by illness.

She was absent at the same time as her former co-host Scott was pulled off-air.

Scott was dismissed after new information about a police investigation about came to light at the BBC.

As well as losing his role on Radio 2, Mills was also and from a new podcast spin off from Race Across The World – which he won the celebrity series of in 2024.
