A BBC presenter has revealed she’s engaged to her fellow screen star in a sweet Instagram post.

The pair enjoyed champagne on the beach in Salcombe, , as she gushed how her decision to accept the proposal was “the easiest yes of my life”.

Evie Pickerill, 33, who works for the ‘s children’s channel CBeebies, shared her “wonderful start to 2026” with her fans as she detailed now-fiance Alex Phelps’ proposal.

Evie, who is a CBeebies presenter and also stars in the channel’s pantomime shows – captured the romantic scenes on the sands.

She wore a beige puffer coat paired with leggings and Adidas trainers while theatre performer and actor Alex, who has starred in BBC dramas as well as the Cbeebies panto, wore a tan hat, black coat and jeans.

The pair were seen enjoying a kiss on the beach before they raised a cheers to their new relationship milestone.

Evie gave a flash of her diamond ring as she perched her hand on her man’s shoulder.

Later on, their families joined them on the beach for the celebration.

In her caption, Evie wrote: “The easiest YES of my life.

“What a wonderful start to 2026, engaged to the man of my dreams.

“Alex, you make me happier than I ever thought possible, a love like ours is one in a million.

“Thank you for making this day so special”.

Evie’s new fiance Alex then took to the comments section to declare his love and wrote: “My best friend, I love you, so much.”

Her famous friends and followers were also quick to celebrate her happy moment.

Fellow CBBC presenter and Strictly star Rhys Stephenson wrote: “Oh my gosh this is BRAND NEW INFORMATION! Congrats to you two”.

Radio 1 presenter Katie Thistleton then posted: “Awww amazing congrats darling”.

Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton also commented: “Congratulations”.
