NEWCASTLE are reportedly facing a serious fight to hold onto Anthony Gordon – after Bayern Munich have made the St James’ Park favourite a priority target.
The Magpies are running out of time to race into the European qualification spots after their to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

And failing to book their place in a continental competition will result in heavyweights battling to lure Gordon, 25, away from Tyneside.
The Times report the England star has been pinpointed as a top transfer target by Bayern.
And the German giants have already sounded out Gordon over a move to the Allianz Arena.
Bayern chief Vincent Kompany, who is also for Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey, has been keen to find out whether a deal for the former Everton man would be possible in the summer.
The development has come after Sky Germany suggested Bayern are for Gordon.
But no negotiations have taken place with Newcastle and it is expected that it will take more than £55million to strike a blockbuster deal.
Gordon would link up with England team-mate if he makes a stunning move to Bavaria.
And he would join Bayern knowing he is on course to challenge for silverware every season.
Kompany’s side have already moved to within touching distance of the Bundesliga title and are in a strong position to book their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Gordon has worked his way onto the radar after notching 17 goals and five assists in 46 appearances across all competitions this term.
