BARCELONA are considering making a move for Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard, according to reports.
The right-back’s contract at the German champions expires in 2024 and he supposedly would like to leave the club.
Barcelona are keen to sign a full-back with nobody consistently nailing down the spot in the starting XI this season.
Sergi Roberto has featured 11 times on the right side of the defence this campaign but his contract ends at the end of this season.
Former Arsenal ace Hector Bellerin was signed by Barca in the summer to play there but he has made just four appearances since arriving at the Nou Camp.
Jules Kounde has had to fill in at right-back despite predominately being a centre-back.
Xavi reportedly sees adding a new full-back to the squad as a priority and Pavard could be his first choice, claim outlet Sport, after scoring against his potential new employers.
The 26-year-old has starred for Bayern since joining them in 2019.
He has featured 136 times winning the Bundesliga three times and the Champions League once.
But the French World Cup winner is ready to quit the club in the summer in seek of a new challenge.

Messi could be set to join Inter Miami and is reportedly ignoring calls from Barcelona who want to bring him ‘home’.
The Catalan giants have also been linked with Jorginho, Bruno Guimaraes and Ruben Neves.
