Remaining UK Bank Holidays in 2026

After the late August holiday, the bank holiday calendar slows down until the festive season.

Scotland gets an extra regional day off in late November for St Andrew’s Day.

But the rest of the UK will have to wait until late December for a festive four-day weekend, thanks to Boxing Day falling on a Saturday and moving to a substitute weekday.

UK Bank Holidays for 2027

Looking ahead to 2027, the year kicks off with a long weekend right out of the gate as New Year’s Day falls on a Friday.

Easter comes earlier than usual in 2027, landing in late March.

Meanwhile, 2027 promises another four-day holiday block.

Because Christmas Day and Boxing Day fall on a Saturday and Sunday, substitute move to Monday, December 27 and Tuesday, December 28.
