Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal, has stated that bandits and terrorists in the country are better equipped than Nigerian soldiers.
Lawal expressed these views on Monday during an interview on Politics Today, a program on Channels Television that was observed by DAILY POST.
He was discussing the current security situation in the country.
“Isn't it surprising that these bandits and terrorists share the same tribe and religion? They are better armed than the Nigerian soldiers; the resources available to them are quite substantial, indicating that someone, somewhere is financing them.
“Does it not strike you that there is an individual or a group of individuals somewhere providing them with support? Because the resources they have at their disposal are so vast. The only thing they have yet to do is to fly helicopters and conduct their brutal activities,” he remarked.
