Bandits kill five CPG members, nine farmers, abduct others in Zamfara community

At least nine people, including five members of the Zamfara Community Protection Guards, ZCPG, and their commander, Garba Dogo, have been killed in a fresh bandit attack in Zamfara State.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon in Jangebe, a farming community in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the state.

According to a post on Friday by security analyst, Bakatsine via X, the victims were attacked while working on their farms.

“This afternoon, bandits attacked farmers in Jangebe, Talatar Mafara LGA, Zamfara State, killing 9 people including 5 ZCPG and their commander, Garba Dogo.

“Several people were also abducted,”; the post read.
