Paris Saint-Germain want to extend Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s contract before the Ballon d’Or announcement.
According to Le’Equipe, this is to avoid more difficult negotiations if he wins the award.
Talks have been ongoing between Kvaratskhelia’s camp and the Ligue 1 champions for several weeks.
The negotiations are believed to be progressing very positively, with an agreement considered very likely soon.
The new deal would run until 2030 or 2031 and include a salary increase.
Kvaratskhelia won the Ligue 1 and Champions League titles with PSG last season and is one of the frontrunners for the Ballon d’Or prize that would be announced next month.
