Football agent, Vincenzo Raiola has insisted that Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma deserves to win this year’s Ballon d’Or ahead of Ousmane Dembele.
Raiola believes that the Parisians would not have won the UEFA Champions League last season without the Italian.
Speaking to the media recently, Raiola said (via YSScores): “PSG’s success was down to the saves made by Donnarumma.
“He recalled the performances against Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa in their UEFA Champions League run.
“For me, Donnarumma deserves to win the Ballon d’Or. Ousmane Dembele has contributed a lot with his goals, but without Donnarumma’s saves against Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal, Paris would not have been able to win the Champions League.”;
Dembele is among top contenders for the Ballon d’Or this year.
The France international is expected to battle with the likes of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe for the award.
