Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has claimed that Ousmane Dembélé deserves to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
Al-Khelaifi stated there is a “problem”; with the award organisers if the French winger does not claim the prestigious honour.
Dembélé is among the leading contenders for the individual prize, having played a key role in PSG’s treble-winning campaign, which saw the club lift the Champions League, Ligue 1, and Coupe de France titles last season.
The 28-year-old is expected to face stiff competition from Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal.
However, Al-Khelaifi remains adamant that Dembélé is the rightful winner.
Al-Khelaifi told DAZN: “Ousmane’s season is magnificent. There is no doubt that he won’t win the Ballon d’Or.
“If he doesn’t win it, there is a problem with the Ballon d’Or. He has done everything.”;
