The organizers of the Ballon d’Or award have nominated Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy.

The prize will be handed to the best female goalkeeper for the year in view.

Nnadozie has been an impeccable presence for the Super Falcons over the years.

Having recently signed for Brighton in England, Nnadozie was one of the key players as Nigeria won a record-extending 10th Women’s African Cup of Nations trophy last month.

She was also named the Best Goalkeeper at the tournament after keeping four clean sheets.

The other nominees for the Yachine Trophy include Daphne van Demoselaar (Arsenal) and Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany).

The winner will be announced at an event on September 22.
