FANS of The Great British Bake Off were left furious during Sunday night’s show as a technical glitch seemingly hit Channel 4.

As celebs such as and took to the famous tent for a Stand Up To Cancer special, viewers were met with flickering TV sets.

Fans watching via satellite, rather than Channel 4’s online streaming service, had the show interrupted several times.

Taking to X, a number of viewers shared their frustrations.

“What’s going on? @Channel4 how can we watch #Bakeoff with it breaking up all the time,” asked one user.

Another said: “Anyone else have signal issues while watching Bake Off this evening we’ve had several shaky screeners tonight. #bakeoff“.

A third wrote: “Anyone else getting a stuttering broadcast and the occasional pixel madness of a 80s top of the pops episode ??”

Replying to the tweet, another agreed: “Me on Sky. I’ve recorded it and only just started watching it.

“I’ve stopped and started it again thinking it might have been weather related so I’m glad it’s not just me ! #GBBO”.

Several others agreed, as some even declared they had “given up” watching the show due to the constant glitches.

The episode saw Sam, Vicky, Alex Brooker, Ambika Mod and Rose Ayling-Ellis compete against one another for the coveted Star Baker apron.

They were tasked with three challenges which saw the celebs make mini rolls, syrup sponge puddings and a choux pastry delight.

In the end, it was who was crowned the winner of the day after impressing the judges with her bakes.

It comes after Molly-Mae Hague won last week’s edition of the celeb series.
