Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has said Iran doesn’t pose a threat to the United States, US.
Sani made the remark while criticizing what he described as unnecessary aggression towards the nation of Iran.
He described unilateral military actions that bypass the United Nations and violate international law as dangerous, warning that such moves could set the world on a perilous path.
Posting on X, Sani stressed that reliance on military might outside established global frameworks undermines international stability.
The former lawmaker also took aim at individuals who publicly support or encourage war, noting that many of them are far removed from the realities of conflict.
According to him, those cheering military action often have family members safely distant from the theatre of war.
Highlighting the value of peace, Sani urged people to reflect on the privileges of daily life.
He said that anyone who can drop their children off at school, go to work, or open their business without fear should be grateful, emphasizing that such normalcy underscores the true meaning of peace compared to the devastation of war.
Sani wrote: “The Nation of Iran doesn’t pose a threat or danger to the US.The act of aggression is unnecessary and unfortunate.
“Unilateral actions based on military might that circumvent the UN and violate international law sets the world on a dangerous path.
“Most of those supporting, encouraging and cheering wars are people whose children, wives or parents are far from the theatre of war.
“If you can drop off your kids in school this morning, go to work or school or open your shop this morning without thanking your God,you don’t know what wars or peace means.”
