August Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for male idol groups!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various boy groups, using big data collected from July 9 to August 9.

BTS continued their reign at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 8,864,057 for August. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “ live album ,” “ Billboard ,” and “concert,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “ go on tour ,” “record,” and “advertise.” BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.51 percent positive reactions.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN held onto their spot at second place with a brand reputation index of 5,494,252 for the month.

SHINee rose to third place with a brand reputation index of 3,753,576, marking a 46.88 percent increase in their score since last month.

BIGBANG ranked fourth with a brand reputation index of 2,927,292, while Super Junior followed at a close fifth with a brand reputation index of 2,801,649, marking a 27.62 percent rise in their score since July.
