ARSENAL missed out on one of the signings of the summer in Vinicius Jr, but could still secure a major transfer before the end of the window.

Rafael Leao

Rafael Leao is another player who, a few seasons ago, was one of the most wanted stars in all of Europe.

However, he is now an outcast at AC Milan and the Italian club are looking to sell, with talks for a move to currently ongoing.

But should Arsenal come calling, it’s hard to imagine Leao turning down the chance to sign for the Gunners.

On his day he is an incredibly gifted player, and while there are concerns over his defensive work rate Arteta would surely be able to mastermind a plan to get the best out of the Portuguese.

Pedro Neto

Another star linked with Arsenal in the past, Pedro Neto is the perfect winger for an Arteta team, with graft, versatility and lethality in the final third all ticked off.

The star registered 10 goals and 10 assists in all comps last year, an output only bettered by Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez – 26 and 22 goal contributions respectively.

, his former boss at , is eyeing a reunion with Neto at Man City, with the Blues reportedly demanding £70m to sell.

That is the going rate for a good-level winger these days, and strengthening themselves while also weakening a rival can only be a good thing for Arsenal.

Cody Gakpo

That same logic applies with , who is edging closer to a Liverpool exit.

Tottenham are the main team linked with the Dutchman, who has hit a half century of goals for the Reds since joining in January 2022.

The Anfield outfit reportedly want around £60m for the 27-year-old, who can play as both a winger and central attacking option.

Nico Williams

endured an injury-hit campaign as he was hampered by a persistent pubalgia issue, yet still managed to become a world champion after featuring in ‘s World Cup winning team.

The 24-year-old has a contract at Athletic Bilbao running to 2035, but matching his reported release clause of £77m could naturally tempt him into a move.

Arsenal and Barcelona have been heavily linked with Williams in the last few summers.

If they can get the Spaniard fit and firing again, there are few left wingers in world who are better.
