MIKEL ARTETA whipped out one of his bizarre diagrams to detail how Arsenal ended their long wait for Premier League glory.

The Gunners were for the first time in 22 YEARS this week.

Manchester City failed to take the title race to the last day of the season on Monday with a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.

The north Londoners have been in all-out celebration mode for the last few days.

Arteta has, however, had to rein them in ahead of next Saturday’s final against .

But during a recent team gathering, the Spaniard gave them a rousing speech about the magnitude of ending the club’s Prem drought – with a cardboard cutout of the trophy in tow.

He said: “This is all great, guys. And this is what we have achieved.

“But when you achieve something, it’s very important, I think, and this is a lesson, to understand how you’ve done it.

“And for me, if I have to read them. Behind this, the manner and the people.”

Arteta then began writing on the back of the cardboard cutout, which had “Champions of Life” written inside a love heart.

He continued: “I think in the manner, with the values that you showed, with the personality that you’ve showed, with the courage that you showed in all this journey, in all this process.

“To fail, to don’t be ashamed, to keep working, to stay humble, to stay curious, to try for innovation, to try to improve yourself, to be vulnerable, is something very important in life.

“You have sent a message to sport, to , to a lot of people, on how you win.

“And how you deserve to win something and why you’ve done it.

“All of us, because it’s in your heart, it’s in your soul, it’s in your values. It’s amazing.”

Arteta will be hoping his rousing speech will see the Gunners get the better of PSG and lift Europe‘s elite club competition for the first time in their history.
