MIKEL ARTETA has provided an update on Arsenal’s on-loan defender Pablo Mari following news that he had been stabbed in Milan.
Mari, who currently plys his trade on loan at Monza in the Serie A, was sent to hospital following a stabbing in a Milan shopping centre.
Speaking after Arsenal’s loss to PSV, Arteta revealed that transfer chief Edu had been in contact with the defender’s relatives and provided an update on his player.
“I just found out,” he said. “I know Edu has been in touch with his relatives.
“He’s in hospital but he seems to be okay.”
This comes after Arsenal fell to a 2-0 defeat in the Europa League to PSV, seeing the Dutch side close the gap at the top of the group.
