Declan Rice was the architect for the first as his inswinging corner was glanced in by Jurrien Timber.

The midfielder’s corners wreaked havoc throughout the match, with Timber adding his second and Arsenal’s fourth from a set-piece after half-time.

That came after Saka blasted past the keeper just before the break to put Arsenal in a comfortable lead.

Things got better soon after the restart as Gyokeres pounced to fire in his first Arsenal goal.

The striker then added his second from the penalty spot in stoppage time after Max Dowman was fouled in the box.
