But Murillo positioned himself on the line and cleared the ball away with the very last kick of the game.
Nobody loved that moment more than Arsenal supporters, who have been thanking the Brazilian centre-back for his contribution in bizarre fashion.
Gooners have been flooding the comments section of Murillo’s wedding photos on Instagram to let them know how much they appreciated his last-ditch defending.
One fan wrote: “Thank you! Build him a statue already.”
While another added: “You and your family are invited to the parade.”
A third hilariously commented: “I will name my son Murillo.”

Arsenal now have a commanding lead in the title race with just eight games left to play.
Although City have a game in hand, Arsenal will now be strong favourites to lift the trophy come the end of the season.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler after ‘s deflected goal was the difference at the Amex last night.
But Arsenal boss defended his players in his post-match press conference.
Asked about Hurzeler’s comments, he said: “What a surprise.
