The Norwegian’s 75th minute strike proved to be the difference at the Etihad Stadium as City won 2-1, but footage circulating online has supporters claiming the goal should have never stood.

Haaland was tussling with in the build-up to his finish, and Gooners reckon the striker fouled the Brazilian just before getting his shot away.

Haaland grabbed hold of Gabriel’s arm and tugged him away from the ball, giving him just enough space to get on the end of ‘s cross.

On social media, one fan wrote: “How was this foul ignored?”

Another added: “This is not football”.

And third labelled it as a “blatant foul.”

As with every Premier League goal, checked over the replays to ensure it should have stood.

But their lack of intervention shows that they were satisfied that there was no foul.
