Over a year out of the octagon, Arnold Allen is hoping to get a huge win over rising contender Jean Silva.
After Allen beat his last opponent, Giga Chikadze, the Brit was forced to take some time off after sustaining a serious shoulder injury he suffered in training camp.
And now 16 months since his last fight, Allen is determined to climb back to a title shot in the 145lbs division.
He faces a huge test, however, with his opponent, Jean Silva, being one of the hottest prospects in the , and he has stayed very active.
The Brazilian burst onto the scene in 2024 after huge knockout wins over Charles Jourdain and Drew Dober, while delivering a devastating choke on Bryce Mitchell.
After amassing an enthralling four-fight winstreak, Silva was rocketed up the rankings and gained the opportunity to fight Diego Lopes.
But after a back-and-forth first round, Lopes TKO’d Silva in the second.
He’ll be hoping to get back to winning ways with a win over Allen, who still sits at the sixth-ranked spot in the Featherweight division.
