Troops of the Nigerian Army successfully repelled an attempted attack on Dansabau community in Katsina State, neutralizing some bandits in the process.

This was according to a post shared on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Saturday.

According to the post, the operation followed credible intelligence indicating that armed men were moving toward the community with plans to launch an attack.

“Acting swiftly, the soldiers intercepted the group near Koramar Goga village, where a brief gun battle forced the bandits to abandon their mission,” Bakatsine wrote.

“This engagement shows the growing reliance on intelligence-driven operations in counter-banditry efforts across Nigeria,” he wrote.

As at time of filing this report, the incident has not officially been confirmed.
