ARGENTINA have been hit with a huge fine following a series of disciplinary breaches at the World Cup, including the controversial Falklands banner displayed after their semi-final victory over England.

FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee has fined the Argentine Football Association around £250,000 ($321,000) for several breaches of its disciplinary code, including the use of a sports event for a non-sporting demonstration, discriminatory chants and gestures by supporters, team misconduct and security breaches.
