The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing has accused Governor Dauda Lawal of "wasting public resources on political vendettas," claiming that his administration has neglected to tackle insecurity and deteriorating infrastructure in Zamfara State.
In a statement released on Sunday and signed by its National Youth Leader, Comrade Danjuma Nuhu, the APC National Youth Wing stated that Governor Lawal's administration "has been characterized by failure."
"His reckless expenditures on fruitless political endeavors cannot conceal his incompetence. Zamfara deserves better," Nuhu expressed.
According to Daily Post, this accusation arose after Hon. Muhammad Lawal Kuryar Madaro, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Kaura Namoda South State House of Assembly, declared his switch to the APC during a stakeholders' consultation meeting for Zamfara Central in Gusau on Saturday.
Kuryar's defection followed his loss in the August supplementary election, where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced APC's Kamilu Sa’idu as the winner of the Kaura Namoda South constituency seat.
