EVEN if Andy Ruiz Jr’s days of winning world titles are done, a streamer just found out the ordinary man still has no place in a ring with him.

The former unified heavyweight world champion had a sparring session with YouTube streamer Oblivion and, to the surprise of no one, the Mexican-American put him down.

Oblivion, who has 746,000 subscribers on YouTube, took several heavy shots from the 36-year-old before an uppercut finally put him down.

He immediately said “Ahh, my jaw,” after being floored and could be seen trying to open and close his mouth in the gym.

He said: “Bro, no cap, he punched me, and I blacked out.

“I don’t even know what he hit me with.”

The sparring session went down on a live stream

At the start of 2026, another Mexican-American boxer, Ryan Garcia, made an appearance on an Oblivion stream and that inspired the content creator to up the ante with Ruiz Jr.

Oblivion isn’t actually a complete novice in the boxing world; he fights other influencers and has a winning record.

The 19-year-old holds a 3–1 record with his most recent fight -a sole loss -taking place on October 3, 2025, against Julian Newman.

He hit Ruiz with a couple of half-decent body shots before the barely trying heavyweight champion put him away.

Ruiz Jr shocked the world back in 2019 when he defeated Anthony Joshua as a last-minute replacement opponent.

Ruiz was ridiculed by the media during fight week, mostly for the stark contrast in Joshua’s adonis-like physique versus an overweight Ruiz.

But then he dropped Joshua, who was unbeaten at the time, four times during the fight, the last of which stopped the champion on his US debut.

He won the won WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles after stepping in for Jarrell Miller.

However, the now 36-year-old would lose those titles back to Joshua in his very next fight.

That was in December 2019 and he has only had three fights since.

His last outing came against the man he replaced to beat Joshua, ironically. He fought to a draw with Miller in August 2024.
