Wives of the soldiers allegedly involved in the coup plot against President Bola Tinubu have appealed to the Federal Government to release their husbands or charge them to court.

The affected women made this call during a press conference on Friday in Abuja.

They also demanded to be granted access to their husbands.

According to the women, the families of the affected soldiers have lived with uncertainty, fear and unanswered questions.

They demanded for justice to be done openly in accordance with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The women said the past months have been deeply painful for their families.

They said they have watched helplessly as narratives were presented to the public, subjecting their husbands to trial by the media, adding that some of them have faced intimidation by men in uniform.

“Charge our husbands to court or release them,” the women said.
