Ahmed Musa vows to restore Kano Pillars’ glory, targets global excellence

General Manager of Kano Pillars and Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has pledged to reposition the club and restore its status as one of Africa’s top football institutions.

Musa made this commitment during a familiarization meeting held on Monday with the Chairman of the club, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, and members of the Board, where he expressed his determination to transform the club and build on its rich legacy.

According to the Media and Communications Directorate of Kano Pillars FC, the former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow forward emphasized that the time has come to work diligently to globalize the four-time Nigerian champions.

“Kano Pillars is our club and one of the most successful in Nigeria, but in recent years, the story has changed,”; Musa said.

“I want to assure everyone here that, with your support and the backing of the Board members, I will do everything possible to reposition the club and make it one of the finest not only in Africa but globally.”;

Musa highlighted that his extensive experience in European football, combined with his understanding of the domestic league, would serve as powerful tools in achieving this vision. He further stressed the need for unity, strategic planning, and dedication from management, players, supporters, and partners to drive the club forward.

The appointment of Musa as General Manager by the Kano State Government under Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf is part of the deliberate efforts to reposition Kano Pillars in line with global best practices.

With Musa at the helm, the club is looking forward to a new era of professionalism, renewed ambition, and excellence, aiming to inspire fans across Kano, Nigeria, and beyond.
