This is certainly true for one US couple who found love despite their 34 year .

For years, Hannah Dickson, 23, was convinced she’d find someone her age – but life didn’t quite work out that way when she met fitness coach Chris, who is 57.

Their relationship might not be conventional – however, the loved-up fitness fanatics don’t care what the naysayers and critics have to say.

Hannah and Chris first met at the gym – and since becoming a couple, it seems that the pair are inseparable, constantly working out together and making content for their 11.9k TikTok followers.

Despite sparking a fierce reaction online, the 23-year-old revealed that the two main people in her life – her mum and dad – ”are very supportive” of her and her decision.

According to Hannah, who joked she found Chris at a ”nursing home” and regularly mocks him for being decades older, her man treats her ”like a queen”.

Chris, who worked as a personal trainer at the gym at the time, said the two ”had a brief interaction” once – but from there on, they didn’t speak properly for another two years.

That is, until January this year, Chris and Hannah shared the story time on their page .

”Me and my best friend went on a trip for my birthday and when we got back, I just spontaneously wanted a personal trainer – and I chose him,” said Hannah.

During the first session together, Chris immediately noticed how ”talkative” his new client was – and the two started chatting ”about anything and everything, from to religion”.

This continued for a few months and at some point, Chris recalled, Hannah started referring to their ”training as ”.

Soon, Hannah also joined her coach for his 3am runs in the very early hours of the morning – and naturally, they formed an even closer, more intimate, bond.

”We realised very quick how much we had in common – goals, dreams, what we want to accomplish in life.”

Chris continued: ”We just clicked on every single aspect of life […]. Not one time did we ever think about the age difference.

”It never came up in conversation. There was never a ‘What if?’, ‘What are people going to think?’.

”Everything flowed so naturally.”

Online, the unconventional relationship has gone viral, racking up more than 2.4million views – and sparking a fierce debate.

While many shared their own age gap stories, there were also thousands who thought that Hannah was too young to be dating someone in their 50s.

One parent commented: ”As a father of a 24 year old daughter, this would creep me out.”

Another shared their perspective, writing: ”So it’s only OK if both people are attractive? Sorry no. I am 30 years old and I look at 23 year olds as being so much younger than me I CANNOT! This is WEIRD. stop normalizing this!”

”I am heavily judging that man,” someone else wrote.

Meanwhile, dozens wished the pair a lovely future and revealed how seeing someone older has overhauled their life.

”I don’t regret my age gap relationship at all. He treats me like a princess and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” said one person.
