SEVEN Afghan men who were part of an alleged grooming gang have been charged with 40 sexual offences including rape and child sex abuse.
The men, who are all migrants and refugees, allegedly abused two teenage victims, between August 2023 and May 2025.
They were arrested after officers from Norfolk Police raided seven addresses, six in Norwich and one in Dumbarton, Scotland in a co-ordinated operation on Wednesday.
Police began their investigation in September 2023 following reports from a young girl.
Once the scale of the alleged offending became clear, a designated multi-agency investigation team was launched in July 2025.
A 19-year-old man was arrested in Ireland this morning and police are attempting to bring the eighth suspect back to the UK.
