Super Eagles midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, has pointed out the error made by Eric Chelle’s team during their match against Tanzania on Tuesday.

Dele-Bashiru, who came off the bench, witnessed Nigeria's victory over the Taifa Stars with a score of 2-1 in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) clash held at the Fez Stadium in Morocco.

However, the Lazio player noted that the Super Eagles erred by allowing a goal due to a defensive mistake.

Charles M’Mombwa netted a goal for Tanzania, while Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman scored for Nigeria.

In his post-match interview, Dele-Bashiru stated, “We performed well against Tanzania. The goal we conceded was due to a lapse in concentration, but we created numerous opportunities today.

“I believe that in another match, we would convert those chances, and the game could have been decided much earlier.

“We will review what we did not execute well, and from there, we will prepare for Tunisia.”
