A human right activist, Comrade Israel Joe has condemned in strong terms the alleged extra-judicial murder of a peaceful protester by a soldier in Ekpoma community, Edo State.

He said the act is “callous” and “barbaric”, just as he called for justice for the deceased, recalling that the major incident that made the #EndSARS turn violent was the shooting at Lekki tollgate.
Joe insisted that, “Our institutions must respect the fundamental rights of citizens and discipline erring officers in order to protect the integrity of these institutions.
“I wish to hereby condemn in absolute terms the action of the military personnel. The military must discipline erring officers.”
