Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Nyesom Wike has dismissed reports of suicide bombing in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Reports emerged onMondaythat an explosion along Mararaba-Nyanya bypass was perpetrated by a suicide bomber.
But speaking onWednesday,during a project inspection in Abuja, the Minister dismissed the report.
According to him, the victim had ignorantly carried an explosive material from a quarry site which exploded on him.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, had in a statement, said a victim sustained serious injury and was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
