Abia Govt gives nod to Kenneth Omeruo’s football talent hunt

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has promised that his administration is ready to collaborate with Super Eagles player, Kenneth Omeruo in his plans for a talent hunt that will discover young talented footballers in Abia State.

Otti made the promise on Tuesday when he received Omeruo and the the General Manager of Rangers Football Club of Enugu, Amobi Ezeaku, who paid him a working visit in his office.

The Abia governor, who directed the state government’s team to sit down with Omeruo and work out the details of his initiative, informed the Super Eagles player that Abia youths are endowed in sports, academics, commerce, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

In his address, Kenneth Omeruo told Otti that the talent hunt initiative he wants to launch in Abia is to identify young talented footballers in the state, who can be mentored and assisted to get into major clubs, especially in Europe.

While requesting for collaboration with the state government, Omeruo commended Governor Otti for his achievements in different sectors of Abia State.
