43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Olakulehin buried in Ibadan [PHOTOS]

The body of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has been committed to mother earth, DAILY POST reports.

DAILY POST reports that Olakulehin was buried on Friday at St Peter’s Cathedral, Aremo, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Our correspondent reports that the church where the traditional ruler was buried is his family church.

DAILY POST gathered that a burial service was organised in honour of the traditional ruler prior to the final burial.

The event was attended by Governor Seyi Makinde, his deputy Barrister Bayo Lawal, General Officer Commanding 2 Division of Nigeria Army, Major General O G Onubogu and PDP National Deputy Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja.

It was also attended by family members among whom are Prince Sumbo Owolabi Olakulehin.

Our correspondent reports that shortly after the fenural service, the body of the traditional ruler was moved to the graveyard within the church for internment.

He joined his ancestors on Monday, 7th July, 2025.
