tvN’s “Second Shot at Love”; has taken a look back at its best moments!

“Second Shot at Love”; is a rom-com that follows Han Geum Ju (Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung), a self-proclaimed “reasonable drinker”; who unexpectedly reunites with her first love Seo Ui Jun (Gong Myoung)—a man who despises alcohol—and decides to take on the challenge of quitting drinking.

Episode 4: Escape from sobriety camp

Han Geum Ju and her father Han Jung Soo (Kim Sang Ho) and older sister Han Hyun Joo (Jo Yoon Hee) were forcibly sent to a sobriety camp by her mother Kim Kwang Ok (Kim Sung Ryung). However, Han Geum Ju eventually escaped to drink makgeolli (traditional Korean rice wine) at a place nearby a creek, with Han Jung Soo and Han Hyun Joo joining her.

Having heard from the monks that the three had disappeared, Kim Kwang Ok personally set out to find them. She found the three excitedly clinking their glasses by the creek, and when Kim Kwang Ok headed toward them in anger, they ran away, leading to a chaotic chase scene. When Han Jung Soo fell in the creek, he told his daughters to go first as Kim Kwang Ok caught his leg, creating a hilarious scene.

Episode 7: Han Geum Ju and Seo Ui Jun finally dating

Han Geum Ju and Seo Ui Jun finally found out that they were each other’s first love after approximately 10 years. Although there was romantic tension in the air after they found out, Han Geum Ju drew a firm line because she misunderstood and thought that Seo Ui Jun had already moved on. Although Seo Ui Jun still had feelings for Han Geum Ju, he could not easily express his feelings because of the memories of his alocoholic father threatening him with Han Geum Ju’s name.

However, when Han Geum Ju once again tried to turn her back on him, Seo Ui Jun finally expressed the feelings he had been holding back. Embracing her, he confessed that he loved her a lot, finally marking the start of their relationship after a long period of misunderstanding. The scene left a lasting impression through Sooyoung’s and Gong Myoung’s emotional portrayals.

Episode 10: The decision about the liver transplant

As Kim Kwang Ok’s health worsened due to acute hepatitis, Han Geum Ju decided to donate her liver. However, due to her frequent drinking, she was declared unfit to donate. Nevertheless, Han Geum Ju began to exercise every day, and she improved her health in a short period of time and became fit to donate her liver.

Kim Kwang Ok surprised her family by saying that she will not receive the donation because she could not bear to have her daughter go through surgery for her sake. However, Seo Ui Jun conveyed to Kim Kwang Ok how much effort Han Geum Ju put in, persuading Kim Kwang Ok to receive the surgery for Han Geum Ju’s sake and creating a heartwarming moment.
