Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has cautioned his players to remain humble despite their significant victory over the Panthers of Gabon on Thursday night.

The three-time African champions secured a spot in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating Gabon 4-1 in Rabat.

The Super Eagles now need to overcome the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday to qualify for the Intercontinental playoffs.

Chelle reminded his players that they have not accomplished anything yet.

“They won against Gabon, but this means little because they have another match in two days. Perhaps after the second game, we can celebrate,” the Super Eagles coach warned in a post-match press briefing.

The match against the Democratic Republic of Congo will take place at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex in Rabat.

It is scheduled to kick off at 8 PM Nigerian time.
