2026 U-20 WWCQ: Falconets thrash Rwanda 4-0 to secure final round spot

Nigeria’s Falconets sealed a place in the final qualifying round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after a 4-0 thrashing of Rwanda at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Saturday.

Moses Aduku’s side won the second qualifying round contest 5-0 on aggregate.

Precious Oscar set Nigeria on the path to victory by scoring the opening goal in the 13th minute.

The hosts doubled their lead through Tumininu Adeshina seven minutes later.

Janet Akekoromwei and substitute Taiwo Afolabi added two more goals for the Falconets in the second half.

Moses Aduku’s side will face either Senegal or Algeria in the final qualifying round.
