Flying Eagles head coach Aliyu Zubairu has vowed that his team will go for the title at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, DAILY POST reports.

The seven-time African champions were beaten finalists at the 1989 and 2005 World Cups.

Zubairu’s side was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Korea two years ago in Argentina.

The gaffer is, however, optimistic they can go all the way this time around.

“We wish to surpass the past records, but we will take it one step at a time,” he said.

“Get out of the group and then we think of the next step.”

The Flying Eagles are drawn in Group F with Norway, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia.

They will face Norway in their opening fixture on Monday, 29 September.
