2025 U-20 AFCON: Ibrahim scoops MOTM in Flying Eagles’ win over Tunisia

Flying Eagles midfielder Auwal Ibrahim was named Man of the Match following the team’s victory over Tunisia.

DAILY POST reports that the seven-time champions began their campaign at the 2025 U-20 Cup of Nations with a narrow 1-0 win against the Young Carthage Eagles.

Ibrahim scored the decisive goal seven minutes before half-time.

The youngster earned his place in the starting line-up after failing to make an appearance for the team during the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Lomé, Togo, last year.

He was substituted by Olalekan Alabi in stoppage time.

The Flying Eagles will next face Morocco in their second Group B fixture at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo on Sunday.
