Zubairu’s side are now two wins away from a record-extending eighth title in Egypt.

“We’re now relaxed after securing qualification for the World Cup,”;; the gaffer told reporters ahead of the clash in Ismailia.

“That weight is gone. The players can now focus fully on competing for the trophy.”;;

South Africa, who has also impressed in the competition, needed extra time to beat Sierra Leone in the last eight.

Zubairu said he has respect for their opponent but his team’s ambition is to lift the trophy.

“We respect South Africa, but we’re focused on our own game,”;; he added.

“The goal is the final. We’ve been here many times. The players know what’s at stake.”;;
