Super Falcons captain Onome Ebi has said the team is ready for battle ahead of their Round of 16 clash against England.
The West Africans will face another difficult test at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup after surviving a difficult group that has co-hosts Australia and Olympic champions Canada.
Randy Waldrum’s side are unbeaten so far in the competition, with one win and two draws.
European champions England are overwhelming favourites to win the game slated for Lang Park, Brisbane.
Ebi, however, said the Super Falcons are ready for the task ahead.
“I feel gingered, I feel strong, I feel ready. We prepared for this all year,” Ebi said in a video posted on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Twitter handle.
“It’s just like the World Cup just started for us. Whatever we won, that one has passed; this is the beginning of the real World Cup, and we are ready. The team is gingered; the team is positive.”
