The Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Ohafia, Brigadier General Ahmad Mansur Dikko has conducted an operational assessment visit to Headquarters Sector 3 Operation DELTA SAFE (OPDS), Owaza, Abia State as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational effectiveness under Operation EASTERN SANITY.

During the visit, he made a stop at Sector 8 Operation CRUSH, Akirika Obu, where he charged the troops to maintain discipline, professionalism, adhere strictly to their constitutional responsibilities, and to remain alert.

Speaking about the need to remain alert, Brig.Gen. Dikko who doubles as the Commander Sector 3 Joint Tasks Force South-East Operation Udo Ka, said the charge became imperative particularly given the unpredictable security environment within the Area of Responsibility.

The 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Commander who was accompanied by the Commandant of Nigerian Navy College of Accounting And Finance, Commodore BU Quadri, handed over 23 mattresses procured for troops.

He explained that the procurement was part of soldier first culture, saying that it was in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s philosophy to further boost troops morale in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities within a Joint and multi agency environment.

The Commander 14 Brigade, Brigadier General AM Dikko subsequently proceeded to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Owaza, where he handed over a refurbished Toyota Hilux vehicle to troops, to enhance operational readiness and improve quick response capability across the Sector’s Area of Responsibility.
