Manchester United legends, Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville, have identified England’s Kyle Walker as the only defender in the world that can stop France forward Kylian Mbappe amid the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Mbappe helped France win the 2018 World Cup in Russia four years ago.
The Paris Saint-German star has enjoyed an impressive start to the 2022 World Cup, scoring three goals in two games.
Speaking about a potential quarter-final clash between England and France, Neville told Sky Sports, “Mbappe versus Walker. We have got the perfect right-back to deal with Mbappe if anyone can – physical, pace, experience.”
On his part, Ferdinand also addressed a potential England versus France clash on his YouTube channel, saying: “For me, Kyle Walker is the only defender on the planet right now that will stand there and go to Mbappe: “Right, 1-v-1, let’s have a race.”
