SHE couldn’t believe her luck when she spotted chic bamboo blinds on Temu for £5.30.
So mum-of-two Bron Galic , as she thought they were perfect for her newly-purchased .

But when her package arrived after a two-week wait, Bron was left bemused by – a flimsy sheet covered in a PICTURE of the blinds.
“When I opened the package, I couldn’t believe what I was looking at,” Bron told What’s The Jam .
“It was sheet with a bamboo blind print on it!
“I had a good laugh.
“I didn’t think it was a mistake – I thought it was typical for Temu.”
Bron, from Melbourne, Australia, initially tried to use the sheet as a tablecloth, before giving up and chucking it in the bin.
Despite the blunder, which left her feeling both amused and annoyed, she insisted she wasn’t surprised, and described the app’s product listings as “convoluted”.
She also didn’t bother contacting Temu directly, instead requesting a credit through the app – which was promptly granted.
“I noticed the blinds are no longer available,” she sighed.
“They were described as a blind online!
“Sometimes their descriptions of products are so convoluted and they go on and on.”
Despite the shopping mishap, Bron said she won’t stop using the bargain retailer.
However, she did say that she’ll be reading product descriptions a little more carefully in future.
Similar bamboo blinds from other retailers typically sell for much higher prices, but Bron insists the experience was more funny than frustrating.
“At Temu, we’re grateful for all our customers,” a spokesperson for Temu said.
“We understand that on this occasion the product didn’t quite meet expectations, but we appreciate the good humour Bron brought to the situation.
Why is Temu so cheap?
TEMU exploded onto the scene in late 2022, with people all over social media raving about the low prices.
The company is a Chinese-owned digital marketplace – essentially an online shopping app where people are connected to the retailer directly while the app takes care of the shipping element.
The frenzy over the app is not completely unfounded either as it offers a wide variety of products, including , , electronics and furniture.
According to a report from the US House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, Temu takes advantage of a trade loophole that allows the company to ship duty-free goods directly to the US.
The loophole is called the de minimis exception and it means they can ship goods valued up to $800 (£643) to the US without it being inspected or taxed by US customs.
Temu connects customers directly to manufacturers and only manages how the items are sent to customers.
It means Chinese vendors can essentially sell their products directly to customers and ship it without building a network of warehouses across the globe.
By doing this, they cut down on huge costs and ensure the product itself isn’t marked up extra.
While many of the products seen on the Temu app are from brands with extensive, original collections, many more are of .
“The product listing in question was removed in May for not meeting platform rules.
“Customers are covered by our 90-day money-back guarantee for items that are not as described.
“And our customer service team is available 24/7 to help with any post-sale concerns.”
