Former Chelsea man, Joe Cole has praised Arsenal’s Fabio Vieira, describing him as a ‘velvet left foot’ and a player who does anything with his feet.
This was following Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday evening, with the former Porto star scoring one of the three goals.
Other scorers at the Emirates Stadium last night were Eddie Nketiah and Rob Holding.
Vieira, who was brought in a £34 million deal from Porto, has started just one game in the Premier League this season as he competes for the midfield positions with captain Martin Odegaard
But Cole has been impressed by the midfielder’s early performances in Europe.
“Everything he does, he’s one of those technicians where everything is with purpose,” Cole told BT Sport.
“He’s one of them, an absolute velvet left foot, this kid can do anything.
“He’s got the competition in Martin Odegaard, one of the club’s captains, part of the leadership group, but this guy is a fantastic player.”
