He is said to have illegally accessed the city by crossing from the island’s northern Turkish-occupied territories.

The dad reportedly stormed the house and shoved the mum before disappearing with the child.

She has previously reported her ex-partner for domestic violence, and the fugitive is said to be the subject of a related arrest warrant since last November.

The man reportedly fled the scene in a small white car, which authorities are currently searching.

Cops are also scrutinising the likely route the alleged kidnapper took.

He is believed to have returned to the northern areas, and an island task force who investigate movement between the territories have been alerted.

Police are also probing a video the fugitive dad posted on social media, which reportedly shows him with the child.

The Brit mum is part of the “Hope” program, according to local outlet , which helps victims of domestic abuse.

Under the scheme, victims press a button to immediately notify police that they are in danger.

The woman did not activate the procedure in this incident, despite reporting her ex-partner for kidnap.
